Retirement Party

Today was Kevin's retirement party and for those of you who weren't able to be there, this is the slide show that played on a continuous loop. The food was delicious, the company was fantastic, and the testimonials were worthy of writing home about. We are so thankful for the friends and coworkers who have wished Kevin well in his next endeavors.

My Raison d'Etre

I decided early on that I did not want to hike the PCT just for the heck of it. I wanted the hike to mean something outside of my own enjoyment. My wife and I were brainstorming what would be a meaningful outcome for my hike. She said there are camps started by Paul Newman that provide fun experiences for children with delicate medical diagnoses. She researched the camps (she googled Hole in the Wall Gang camps) and found that there was an associated camp in Washington state.
